Introduction

Here I will explain how to use
jQuery to get dropdownlist selected value onchange Event or jQuery dropdown change event get selected value or jQuery get dropdownlist selected value onchange event.

Get Dropdownlist Selected Value OnChange Event

We can get dropdownlist selected value like as shown below during onchange event

Method 1

$('#ddlName').change(function() {
alert($(this).val())
})
})
</script>
Method 2

<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
$('#ddlName').change(function() {
alert($('#ddlName').val())
})
})
</script>

Hello i have a question how about if you want to display values associated with the selected option but not in an alert rather in a page
