How to Setup-Configure DNS Server in Windows 7 system/laptop

Introduction

Here I will explain how to configure or setup or add DNS server in windows 7 system or laptop or pc.

Description:

In Previous article I explained how to create desktop shortcut to lock computer just by single click. Now I will explain how to setup or configure dns server in windows 7. To add or setup or configure dns server we need to follow below steps

     1) Go to Start >> Select Control Panel and double click it

2) Once we open control panel now select Network and Internet option and double click on it

3) Once we double click Network and Internet now select Network and Sharing Center option and double click on it

4) Now select Change adapter settings and double click on it

5) Once we open adapter settings select your required network >> Right click on it >> select properties 

6) Once we open properties of our network now select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” an click on properties button like as shown below

7) Once we open Internet protocol version properties select radio button “Use the following DNS server address automatically” and enter preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server values like as shown below

8) Once we enter all the values click OK button and close wireless network connection properties window and disconnect your network connection and reconnect it again. I hope it helps you to setup or configure dns server in windows 7
